There are many different kinds of time travel story templates:
- travel to the past with the intent to change it
- travel to the past to prevent it from being changed
- travel to the past as a tourist
- travel to the future
- travel from the future
I’m sure you can name more.

Interacting with Time may have different rules:
- you change the timeline and it affects your present (Back to the Future)
- there is only one timeline, ever (The Time-Traveler’s Wife)
- you can go back and try again if you messed up (Alex Wayfare, Recursion)
- you only get one chance
- grandfather paradoxes will happen
- grandfather paradoxes won’t happen
What is your favorite kind of time travel?
