A few months after STATUS GREEN was published in THE ACCIDENTAL TIME TRAVELERS COLLECTIVE, VOLUME 2, the editors approached me to ask if I wanted to contribute another short story to VOLUME 3. I agreed, and inspired by an off-handed remark from my husband, I wrote A SWEET DEAL in just a few weeks.

Like the previous two books in the series, the anthology features 12 short stories from 12 different authors (some returning, some new), all connected in one way or another to time travel. I am honored to be in their company.
THE ACCIDENTAL TIME TRAVELERS COLLECTIVE, VOLUME 3 is now available as eBook and paperback at Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.fr, Amazon.de, and any other Amazon country site.

My short story A SWEET DEAL features history student Quentin who goes home for the weekend with beloved family dog Maddy. Upon arrival at his parents’, Maddy has an accident that Quentin blames himself for. As they hurry Maddy to the vet, they learn surgery and care for Maddy will be very expensive. Quentin remembers the back-up time machine from his parents’ employer parked at the back of the garage, but going back an hour to prevent the accident would short-circuit the timeline. Quentin racks his brains to find a way to save Maddy while the clock is ticking.
